To begin our investigation, we had to tell Mrs Pope where the best place would be to turn water into ice!  We came up with lots of ideas like the freezer, the fridge, outside etc and we had to see if we were right. We placed bowls of water in all the places we thought of and couldn't wait to see what would happen!  Guess what....it turns out that you need to put water in the freezer to freeze.

After we knew how to freeze water into ice, then we wanted to know how to turn it back into water.  We brainstormed lots of ideas and decided which ones were the best to try.  We left some ice in the classroom, outside in the sunshine, we tried melting it in our hands and we even tried to melt it under the hand dryer!

We had such good fun learning about ice!
